REECE MASTIN (X-FACTOR 2011 WINNER)

Jan / Feb 2012 sees us out touring with the recent X-Factor winner Reece Mastin.

Shows in NSW, QLD, VIC, ACT + flyaway gigs in WA and TAS.

Full houses and screaming girls are the order of the day on this tour, with girls camped out at the venue and hotel waiting to get a glimpse of Reece.

On the audio front Phil "Kez" Kesby is taking full advantage of our Martin Audio W8LC Line Array with WS218X subs to get over the crowd screaming. He's using one of our Digidesign Profile consoles at FOH.

Simple Plan

For their recent Australian tour Simple Plan chose Entertainment Installations for lighting for their 2 East Coast shows - Tivoli (Brisbane) and Enmore Theatre (Sydney) 

We've worked with their LD before with Simple Plan and other acts and he was happy to have us back on-board. 

In these days of LED fixtures it was interesting that Jay (LD) went for a show without any LED fixtures. 

However, it looked great and he knows the songs so well, his programming and cues were spot-on. 

The rig used: 

John Butler Trio

We supplied production + crew for John Butler on his east cost tour in Jan 2011

Audio featured 2 x Digidesign Profile consoles with FOH audio handled by long time John Butler engineer (and legend) Colin Ellis.

Monitors were again all "on-borad" the 2nd Profile console.

Lighting (designed + operated by Bryce Mace) featured a lot of our latest gear including -

10 x Martin StageBar54
5 x Molefays
6 x Martin TW1
6 x ETC Profiles
1 x Grandma 2

Ladyhawke

ARIA winners Ladyhawke used us for some shows in Nov for the leadup to the ARIA night.
 
These were sold-out gigs with a great crowd vibe.
 
Our Martin Audio WXS/W8C system was used for the shows and provided great/loud audio.
 
Both FOH and monitor consoles were our Yamaha PM5D/RH's with EV XW15 active wedges all round.
 

1927

In Nov Australian chart-topping band 1927 got together for a sold-out show at The State Theatre in Sydney and we supplied production.

FOH console was our Midas Heritage 1000 with a suitable FX + drive package as specified by 1927's FOH engineer.

Monitor used our EV XW15 active wedges and a Yamaha M7CL/48 digital console.

Lighting used a combination of MAC700 Wash, MAC700 Profile, Martin TW-1 wash lights, 24 x Par64 and some molefays.

For added effect we supplied 4 x Martin LC Panels for the 1927 logo and graphic work.

All controlled via a Jands HOG1000

Elaine Paige

West End musical theatre star Elaine Paige recently completed her Oct/Nov Australian tour.
 
With shows in almost all states and a live DVD filmed in The State Theatre (Sydney), we had a busy schedule on this tour.
 
2 x Yamaha PM5D's were used for FOH & monitors as well as some extra outboard gear including Dbx 162S, BSS DPR901, Midas XL42 channel strip.
 
Her wireless mic of choice was a Shure UR system with Beta87 head.

Richard Clapton at The State Theatre

Oz rock legend Richard Clapton recently performed 2 x sold-out nights at The State Theatre in Sydney as part of the Goodbye Tiger concert series and we were on hand with production.
 
Using the in-house PA in the State, we supplied the rest of the audio including:
1 x Midas Heritage 1000/48 at FOH
1 x Midas Siena on monitors
Full monitor rig of EV XW15's.
 
Lighting included:
40 x Par64
6 x Martin TW-1 wash lights.
12 x MAC700 Wash.
12 x MAC700 Profile.
4 x 4 L

Bjorn Again at State Theatre

As part of our constant battle to keep the music of ABBA in the forefront of peoples minds and wallets - we supplied production to BJORN AGAIN for their sell-out shows (3) at the State Theatre in Sydney.
 
The rig featured the usual Bjorn lighting spec with some extras as 60 Minutes was on-site doing some filming for an up-coming feature.
 
Alex Saad is the LD / ringmaster and runs a tight ship (his lighting cues are perfect).

Johnny Clegg

South African star Johnny Clegg played a show to a packed house at Sydney's State Theatre late May.
 
We supplied production and crew including - 2 x Yamaha PM5D, 16 x EV XW15 wedges.
 
We used the in-house D-Vdosc PA.
 
Lighting featured 12 x MAC700 Wash, 12 x MAC700 Profile, 10 x Martin StageBar 54, 12 x Par16, Par 65, Fresnels and Molefay duets.
 
Our crew included Bryce Mace, Murrey Carr, Neale Mace and Chris Twartz.
